Case Study: Editorial yet Approachable Brand & Website for Positive Psychology Coach

Summer Bradshaw came to me with big ambitions to grow and evolve her positive psychology coaching business, but her DIY branding and clunky Wix website were holding her back from making big moves.

Her online brand didn’t reflect her personality or her expertise, and worse, it was so difficult to update regularly that making progress with her business felt impossible.

Instead of frustrating DIY digitals, Summer needed a brand and website that felt as elevated and impactful as the work she does with her clients. We’re local to one another and have been networking friends for a while, so I was super excited when she reached out asking to work with me on this exciting next stage for her business.

creating a luxurious brand identity that still feels warm & welcoming

To fit seamlessly into Summer’s busy coaching and parenting schedule, and create a brand that truly reflected her expertise fast, we decided to tackle her new branding in a single, high-energy Design Party Day. My signature done-in-a-day branding service offers all the gorgeous deliverables of a full-scale branding project without the long timelines or weeks of back and forth.

The goal of this project was to craft a sophisticated, editorial brand that would help Summer raise her prices, charge her worth and feel like the industry expert she is while still feeling warm and inviting to her coaching clients.

We met in person for our day together, and made real-time decisions together, keeping the branding process fun, collaborative, and lightning-fast. By the end of the Party Day, Summer had a stunning, polished brand identity ready to roll out across her business.

Now, her website design had the perfect foundation to build from!

phase 1: Mood board sign off

From our 1 hour strategy call held one week before our Party Day, I could tell that Summer was heavily inspired by the ocean (we’re Devon gals after all), editorial photography styles (her own brand shoot was STUNNING and I loved working with it during her website design), and sophisticated, pared-back word marks. From this inspiration I designed a warm, inviting moodboard with a focus on sophistication and simplicity.

phase 2: logo design

We sat down for 30 minutes at the beginning of our party day together to discuss the moodboard and visual direction of the project. Summer immediately saw her vision in the inspiration I’d collated and was happy to move ahead with the logo design. I paired elegant, serif typefaces with a touch of handwritten charm for a logo that feels elevated while still being approachable.

Phase 3: building the brand

Once the logo was signed off, I started on creating a rich brand identity. From colour palettes to typography styles and image styles, I created a quick-reference brand board within Canva that Summer would be able to use effortlessly to build gorgeous, branded marketing assets.

Phase 2: Designing a Luxurious & Easy To Use Squarespace website

With Summer’s stunning new branding signedvoff and ready to go, it was time for me to build a new website using Squarespace that would showcase her coaching offers and captivate her ideal clients.

Phase 1: website content prep

Before we got to work on the new website, Summer (with my support and guidance throughout) completed my website content form to ensure I had everything needed to deliver her perfect website with her perfect copy.

Phase 2: Squarespace homepage design

We started with a captivating and swoon-worthy homepage that perfectly captured her sophisticated yet warm vibe and acted as a perfect signpost to her variety of coaching services.

Phase 3: further web page creation

Once the homepage was signed off and I was confident that it was everything Summer had been dreaming of, I was in a position to finalise the rest of the website. I created in-depth sales pages for each of Your Zen Life’s coaching services, as well as detailed ‘About Me’ pages and contact details for signposting and onboarding new clients.

Phase 4: brand and website support tools

Dedicated Loom training videos, an in-depth Squarespace video course and 3 months of dedicated email & Whatsapp support ensures Summer feels confident managing her new Squarespace website on an ongoing basis, with none of the clunky drama of her old DIY site.

The final project Results: A luxurious brand and Website That Feels worthy of investment

Summer’s new brand and website exceeded all her initial expectations! With a sleek, editorial look that still feels warm and inviting, she now feels 100x more confident showcasing her expertise and charging her worth. Since launching the new brand, she’s seen increased engagement, stronger client connections, and a website that is able to truly support her business growth. Most importantly? She loved the entire design process; collaborative, stress-free, and designed to make her life easier.
